Tom Cruise is to play Jack Reacher

It is great news that Tom Cruise is going to play Jack Reacher in One Shot because it means that even totally unsuitable people are being considered. I am 5'7" and would also make a terrible Reacher so if Tom drops out maybe I will get a chance. One of the best series of books ever could turn out to be one of the worst series of movies.

I am now in Frankfurt for three days for work and it is getting pretty cold; it isn´t quite winter yet but it will be by next month. I fly back to Spain on Friday and then I will be at home for a couple of weeks before the next trip. I will be able to write some more of book two and will hopefully get to the halfway mark.

I have just got back from my work trip, which was quite good because I managed to write another 5000 words of book two. I'm up to 45,000 words now which is about a third of the way through. I am very happy with how it is coming together but

The day after All Saints' Day is typically less exciting. The only special event on this day is Air Berlin lost my suitcase and I wasted a full day in Berlin without being able to do any work.

Today is All Saints' Day and it is an important holiday in Spain because it is a strongly Catholic country. Today is a holiday here and many people will head to cemeteries to give offerings and honour the dead. The churches will be busy to day because All Saints' Day is a Holy Day of Obligation for Catholics which mean they have to go to mass.

Events on 1st November:

1512 - The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel was shown to the public for the first time.
1805 - Napoleon Bonaparte invaded Austria.

After the dog walk.

Well I didn't think of anything interesting to say while I was walking the dog but fortunately I had a bad fall on the mountain track. I hurt one leg and had to ring my wife to come and collect me on our Quad. Now I am being a brave little soldier in front of the TV while she puts antiseptic on my scrape and makes my tea.

I have finally pulled my finger out and started a blog!

I've been meaning to start a blog for ages but it's taken me a while to get round to it. Now that I have finally done it I have nothing to say! I will take Beethoven for a walk up the mountain and see if anything comes to mind.
